2017 Sadie's Vineyard Pinot Noir, Russian River Valley
Notes of blackberry, licorice, Asian spice, citrus rind, boysenberry and mineral. The palate is juicy with notes of raspberry, root beer, plum, redwood bark and blueberries. Beautifully balanced with fine-grained tannins, concentrated body and an extremely long, lingering finish.
Sadie's Vineyard is located along the Bodega Highway corridor west of the small town of Sebastopol, placing it at the southernmost reaches of the Russian River Vallery AVA. Cold air flow and perfect soils make this an exceptional site for growing Pinot Noir. This is the third vineyard that we've worked with that is named after the owners dog!
