2017 Weir Vineyard Pinot Noir, Yorkville Highlands
Pronounced black cherry on the nose, accented by fall baking spices, candied orange zest, brambly fruit, apple blossoms and white pepper. This elegant Pinot is bright and racy, yet velvety, lush and mouthcoatingly silky and sensual. Flavors of cranberry, strawberry, pink rose petals, Bing cherry, with an iron minerality and a hint of cedar grace the palate of this seamless, beautifully integrated, voluptuous and graceful wine.
*Amanda's Current Fav!
Direct exposure to cold air streaming in off the Mendocino coast and high elevation provide this site with the coldest nighttime temperatures of all our vineyards. Gravelly, well-drained soils full of rocks and eccentric Pinot noir selections complete the package required to produce rich wines brimming with depth and sensuality.
